Hello all,

I can’t believe it is almost the end of May! In two months, I will be leaving for the Yukon! The planning continues, the flight is booked and the training continues.

Yesterday was the “Spin the Lakes” event in Muskoka, a 110 km ride around Lake of Bays. Perfect sunny day and good company. Huge kudos to Kai Slaughter and Amelia Espy - likely the youngest, at 14, to complete this ride and tackle the killer hills of Britannia Road. Watch out for that Espy girl; she is destined to the podium!

If you are in or near Muskoka this week, don’t forget to mark this Friday night as the fundraiser movie night for the "Ride to Conquer Cancer". This 200 km ride is only three weeks away. Kai Slaughter, noted above, will be riding a tandem bike with his Vicki. They have raised over $5,000!

Don't forget the 5 km walk/run in support of Cameron Helps on Father's Day in Mississauga as well. Visit "Cameron Helps" for more information.

Check out the Axiom site, too - all new and groovy. They have kindly offered "blog" space on their site so I will offer words of bike and life's twisted wisdom to a larger audience. The blog will be up and running shortly.

Hope to see you at the Rene Caisse Theatre Friday night.

Cheers!

David
